Eastern Maine Counseling and Testing Services, Inc. (EMCTS) is currently seeking dedicated BHPs to work within our Specialized Rehabilitative and Community Supports (RCS or Section 28) program. The program provides medically necessary behavioral health services for children with developmental disabilities, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), in the greater Bangor area. BHPs work under the direct supervision of a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and Licensed Clinical Psychologist. BHPs provide services to clients aged 2-20 within the client’s home and community settings. Services are typically provided during early mornings, after school, evenings, and weekends. Day time shifts are available during summer months, school vacations, and weekends. EMCTS offers a great deal of flexibility in scheduling to accommodate college courses. Bonuses are offered for meeting quarterly attendance goals and additional pay increases are tied to yearly performance assessments. Prior experience working with children with disabilities or related coursework is preferred. However, EMCTS is happy to provide paid training for the right candidates. Candidates who currently hold a BHP certificate are eligible for a $150 bonus after 90 days of employment with an additional $150 paid after 180 days of employment.

Job Description:
-Provide support services to clients and families in the client’s home and community settings.
-Work from a treatment plan to assist clients in meeting goals outlined in their treatment plans.
-Implement positive behavior support plans and other interventions.
-Assist parents and children in maintaining positive interactions.
-Collect data on all targets and goals.
-BHPs are often responsible for transporting clients to community settings.
-Attendance at monthly team meetings and group supervision sessions required.
Position Requires:
-18 years of age or older
-High school diploma or equivalent
-Ability to pass a comprehensive background check
-Clean driving record and valid driver’s license
-Current motor vehicle insurance and registration
-Reliable transportation
