Education:
B.S. in Elementary Education, M.Ed. in Speical Education, Graduate Certificate in Response to Intervention for Behavior, CAS in Special Education, Board Certified Behavior Analyst, all degrees obtained through University of Maine System

Description of duties:
Heather is responsible for managing the agency's Specialized Section 28 Program, including performing intake duties, such as initial interviews and assessments. Heather is responsible for staff training, and the ongoing direct support and supervision of all Behavioral Health Professionals. Heather is also the agency's Safety Care trainer, and provides Safety Care training for Section 28 staff, and clients' families. Heather is the "go to" person for any problems or concerns involving clients, families, program concerns, and/or staff concerns.

Special professional interests:
Heather's special areas of interest include positive behavioral supports and interventions, as well as language and social skills development.

Description of duties:
Scheduling of Section 28 staff, including team meetings and trainings, organization of Section 28 staff and client files, and creation of materials such as visuals and social stories. I also work one on one with clients as a BHP.
